SICK AND TIRED

Well, it's Thursday, and I'm still not feeling so great. My throat has been bothering me since Monday morning, my head's stuffed up, and I've basically been sleeping for three days. It's a bit depressing. I hate being pulled away from work, from music; these are the times I wish I still had a home studio.

I have to quit smoking.

Tea, orange juice. Need to switch to Vitamin C-garettes.

Getting very sick and winding up in the hospital with major respritory issues after traveling all night from Washington DC following a rain dampered Rolling Stones concert is what got me to quit smoking.

Think of it in terms of this... a pack of smokes in NYC costs about $8. A decent used EL-8 Distressor unit goes for about $900. You could add one of these to your studio in four months time. If you can get Jackson in on it, you'd have even more perfect vocal tracking in half that much time.

If you decide to do it, you will not regret it. Good luck and get better soon.
