How 'bout some lighter fare?
Check out "Solitary" on the Telecasting podcast. This is a Chan Chandler song (Chan is a good friend and was the man responsible for writing the KISS video for "Let's Put The X In Sex") so you know it's good. This is a rough production mix, done last night after some editing, overdubbing, and drinking.

Great song. Chello is heavy at the end and the DX7 sounding thingy I'd change, but knowing it's a board mix and I'm listening to it on shitty little laptop speakers could be the factor.

Are you talking about the bell sound? Or the accordian like sound?
There is actual DX7 on this track, but it blends so well with the guitars that you can't really hear it (it ends up filling up space between the acoustics and the bass) so I don't think that's what you're talking about.

The DX bits are good and I wouldn't change the patch or the bit being played, but on my shitty laptop speakers they sound over emphasized in the mix. Could very well be my speakers.
Those aren't DX7 bits! The sounds you are refering to were generated by either the Juno 106 or the 8080. Sheesh! The only DX7 sound is a piano that's very low in the mix and I doubt anyone could pick it out without knowing it was there.
I'm sorry if I'm yelling, I'm still recovering from being yelled at by Joyce for two days...
